Dr. Brendan Ramey’s love of science is one of the reasons he chose to become a physician. In looking at careers in science, medicine was the most people-oriented. It also provides him with a meaningful career which is helpful to others, something important to him. Being a family physician has allowed Dr. Ramey to focus on specific problems a patient may have more so than other specialties.
He loves being a hospitalist for NorthShore Medical Group at Skyline Hospital, describing it as ‘the best job [he has] ever had!’ The pace, focused job duties, and the great team both at NorthShore and Skyline are what make his job so rewarding. After working at several different practices in the area, the collegial, team-based approach at NorthShore Medical Group is a big part of what drew him to our practice.
Dr. Ramey enjoys many of the outdoor activities that the mild weather of the Gorge affords. He kiteboards, mountain bikes, and also plays Ultimate Frisbee. In addition, he is an accomplished mountaineer. He has climbed Mount St. Helens, Mount Rainier, and Mount Adams. Mount Hood is next on his list of climbs he hopes to complete.
